Handheld recorders

Since our focus is on immersive audio, we look for recorders with at least four microphone inputs.
While other handheld recorders are great, they are not suitable for our purposes. Therefore, we are not focusing on them. However, there are many occasions where these smaller handheld recorders will serve you well and give you an advantage in certain situations..

We will start this list with the TASCAM Portacapture X8. Then, we will take a look at the Zoom F8n and the Zoom F8n Pro. We will also talk about the Zoom H6, which is no longer the newest model, but still serves us well.
