DAW

DAW - Digital Audio Workstation

A DAW is a software that runs on a computer on top of its operating system.
It is used to create and/or manipulate music-signals in a digital format.

There are many, many great DAWs out there and all have their advantages.
But when it comes to working with ambisonic recordings the number of DAWs which are capable of that, decreases significantly.

Our main focus is providing you with ambisonic solutions without breaking the bank. We believe we have found a great solution that meets all of your requirements: Reaper.

So, if you're an individual who wants to get into ambisonics, this is an affordable option. Keep in mind that this is a full-blown, professional DAW not only for ambisonics, but also for sound design, music production, and video editing. In short, it's a DAW for all purposes.

We are impressed by the many other DAWs that offer the same or more features. We fully recognize this and have no objection. However, they also come at a different price than Reaper. If you want to switch DAWs later, feel free to do so. Have fun!
We recommend Reaper because it offers everything you need at the "starter price" of only $60. That's a fraction of what Pro Tools, Nuendo, and many others cost!

Plug-ins for your DAW

With just your DAW you can't use the full potential of your ambisonic recordings or at least, it is MUCH more work and quite error prone.

There are many, many plug-ins out there to enable and/or support you in your workflow with ambisonic. In THIS article we list you some of the plug-ins that we use and also some alternatives.
Such a list can NEVER be always up to date, as there are plug-ins coming day by day. If you found something interesting and/or new, feel free to drop us a line and we will have a look. Thank you very much in advance.
