You can also use foam from packaging as a ad-hoc stand for your recorder, and it helps keep it safe during transport.

If you want to tilt your recorder upwards so you can read the display better, fold the foam in half, lift the recorder a bit, and place the foam underneath it, as shown on the picture below.

For this to work, the foam must not be too soft. But it usually isn’t if it comes from packaging.

Since it weighs almost nothing, you can always pack it along to protect your devices in your backpack from damage, scratches or heavy impacts.

So, don't throw away foam from packing and reuse it.
