Reaper
Reaper
Reaper is a DAW, or a piece of software, that runs on your computer to process the digital signals you have recorded.
There are plenty of DAWs out there and all of them are great and have many advantages. So it becomes a matter of taste and your personal workflow, which DAW you will choose.
We have chosen Reaper as our DAW quite a while ago, when it was the one that provided 64 channels of output AND didn't cost a fortune. It had (and sometimes still have) it's limitations in comparison to other "BIG DAW"s like Pro-Tools. But the price is unbeatable.
So, what about the costs? After you finished your 60 days of evaluation, Reaper will ask you everytime you start it, if you wouldn't like to buy it.
