Weigh the weight

We entered all of our equipment into a spreadsheet and added the following information to the usual:

  • Serial numbers - For insurance purposes
  • Weight - For planning when packing backpacks

In this article we focus on the weight.

Thanks to the practical VLOOKUP function in today's spreadsheet software, it's easy to compile the items you want to take with you in a separate spreadsheet.
The weights are transferred from the "master spreadsheet" to the separate spreadsheet and totaled.

You can easily export this list as a PDF, transfer it to your cell phone, or print it out the traditional way. So you have a packing list at home and on the venue, when you need to make sure, you'll take everything back home again.
